Windows XP was a highly successful line of 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems released in 2001 by Microsoft for use on PCs. Superseded by Windows Vista in 2007, Windows XP was officially discontinued for direct OEM and retail sales in Jun 2008. XP is still available via “downgrade rights”, however, and Microsoft will support it until April 2014. Over 400 million copies are still in use.
QualityLogic provides two types of tests to help you ensure compatibility with Windows XP:
- Our Windows XP Application Test Suite-Intermediate Files (ATS-IF) consist of sophisticated test files for hundreds of business and consumer applications. Detailed test specifications for each test file are provided so you know exactly what is contained in each file. Files are provided in their native format (.doc, .xls, etc) so they can be easily modified for troubleshooting purposes.
- Our Windows GDI Functional Test Suite (FTS) is a library of GDI test cases designed to exercise the basic functionality of GDI commands used in the Windows XP printing process, providing you a more structured way to ensure that your driver or software can correctly process the full breadth of GDI commands that it might encounter.
The Windows ATS-IF and GDI FTS are used by printer driver developers to ensure compatibility with desktop applications used and by companies that develop or are about to deploy printer drivers or software that views, edits, analyzes, converts, preflights, optimizes, or otherwise consumes various file formats.
PageSense is used to measure the performance of your printer or MFP by using real world application test files coupled with an automated way to measure throughput speeds.
