Alliances For Smart Grid Standards

Smart Grids require a rich set of technologies, protocols, APIs and, at times, proprietary technologies. For Smart Grids to work, all of these components must interoperate. Interoperability is a central factor in making Smart Grids a working reality.

A number of alliances of public and private stakeholders in Smart Grid technologies have been created. QualityLogic is an active member of many of these alliances and works to promote Smart Grid industry standards and interoperability:

  • Consortium for SEP 2 Interoperability
  • GridWise Architecture Council (GWAC)
  • MultiSpeak
  • OpenADR
  • Smart Grid Interoperability Panel (SGIP)
  • SGIP Testing and Certification Committee
  • UCA CIM
  • UCA OpenSG
  • ZigBee Alliance
