⁽¹⁾Note: The actual number of cartridges required for testing is determined by the capacities and the requirement that no data from a cartridge will be considered valid unless there are good cartridges in the other positions in the printer. If cartridges are the same capacity then 12 of each will be required since it is unknown which will fail first. In addition there must be one set of starter cartridges per printer and at least one spare set of cartridges to replace any failures.
