QUALITYLOGIC ANNOUNCES NEW WINDOWS MEDIA™ PHOTO FUNCTIONAL TEST SUITE

(www.qualitylogic.com) has announced its WMPhoto Functional Test Suite (WMPhoto FTS) for Microsoft’s new image file format, Windows Media Photo. The company also announced the availability of a “Quick Start” Program for the WMPhoto FTS.
Windows Media Photo supports 8 to 32 bits-per-channel color with an industry-leading, high-performance compression algorithm designed to outperform JPEG. QualityLogic’s WMPhoto FTS will provide a set of Windows Media Photo files that exercise each container and bitstream syntax element that influences the behavior of a Windows Media Photo decoder. QualityLogic estimates that the WMPhoto FTS will contain approximately 450 test cases.

A “Quick Start” Program for the new test suite will be offered to a limited number of early adopters who want to receive beta versions and provide input on the design of WMPhoto FTS. In addition, special Quick Start pricing will be available to the first five (5) companies that issue purchase orders for WMPhoto FTS.
