QUALITYLOGIC INTROS XPS COLOR TEST SUITE: AN ADVANCED EVALUATION TEST FOR XPS COLOR IMPLEMENTATIONS
Moorpark, CA – January 29, 2007 – QualityLogic (www.qualitylogic.com) introduced its XPS (Microsoft XML Paper Specification) Color Test Suite today at the Lyra Imaging Symposium, at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage, California. The XPS Color Test Suite provides advanced testing of XPS implementations for color accuracy and reproduction quality of printed output.
The XPS Color Test Suite consists of custom-developed XPS files and high-end graphics application files that exercise color rendering paths using new technologies related to Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system. These include the XPS page description language, Windows Color System (WCS), and HD Photo, as well as standard image formats and ICC Profiles.
“The XPS Color Test Suite complements QualityLogic’s existing XPS test suites by providing color accuracy and reproduction focused test files specific to the XPS architecture and design,” said James Mater, QualityLogic president and CEO. “This advanced color test suite ensures that XPS color implementations meet the demanding scenarios seen in real-world situations.”
The XPS Color Test Suite will be shipped in two phases. Early in the second quarter of 2007, an early release (XPS CTS v0.9) will be available for customers who are ready to start testing the color capabilities of their XPS implementations. Then, in the latter part of the quarter, a second release will be available (XPS CTS v1.0). This version will include additional test files and improvements to the first release based on customer feedback. All purchasers of v0.9 will automatically receive the latest beta release and the v1.0 without additional charge. Pricing is $17,500 .
