QUALITYLOGIC BEGINS SHIPPING V1.0 XPS TEST TOOLS AND SUITES

WILL SHOW XPS TOOLS AND SUITES AT LYRA IMAGING SYMPOSIUM

Moorpark, CA – January 25, 2007 – QualityLogic (www.qualitylogic.com) announced today its v1.0 XPS test tools and suites are now shipping and will be shown at the Lyra Imaging Symposium, January 29-31, at Rancho Las Palmas Resort, Rancho Mirage, CA.  XPS (XML Paper Specification) is Microsoft’s new print format that will be used in Windows Vista.  QualityLogic’s XPS test tools are designed for developers and QA engineering teams that are working with XPS technology. The v1.0 test tools include the XPS Functional Test Suite (FTS), XPS Comprehensive Evaluation Test (CET), XPSLab Utilities Suite, XPS Conversion Path Application Test Suite (ATS), XPS Native Application Test Suite (ATS) and HD Photo FTS.        

• XPS FTS is a quick, economical integration test tool for OEMs developing their own or licensing third-party XPS implementations.

• XPS CET provides complete, in-depth testing to ensure that an implementation can handle the full breadth of diversity allowed by the XPS specification when constructing an XPS Package.

• XPSLab provides essential, timesaving tools that allow developers and QA engineers to analyze and manipulate XPS documents for testing purposes.

• XPS Conversion Path ATS is used to test and debug an XPS implementation to ensure compatibility with existing Win32 applications.

• XPS Native Application Test Suite (ATS) is used to test and debug an XPS implementation to ensure compatibility with Windows Vista applications.

• HD Photo FTS exercises each container and bitstream syntax element that influences the behavior of an HD Photo decoder.

In addition, QualityLogic announced that it has completed 13 of the planned 15 Native ATS-IF application files for applications updated to run under Windows Vista, including Microsoft Office 2007 products, Adobe Acrobat 8.0 and Microsoft Expression Graphic Designer.  The remaining two application files will be done later this quarter, subject to the availability of the applications. 

QualityLogic also announced that PageSense 6.0 with Windows Vista support will ship in Quarter 1.  PageSense is the industry-standard tool for measuring printer and multifunction peripheral performance.
