QUALITYLOGIC LAUNCHES SECOND PHASE OF QUICK START PROGRAM
FOR MICROSOFT XPS DOCUMENT FORMAT

has launched its exclusive XPS Quick Start II Program. Quick Start II is the
second phase of a program developed by QualityLogic for printer, device and
software companies that need to make sure future products are compatible with
XPS Document, Microsoft's new document and print format for its next client
operating system, Windows Vista. Quick Start II will allow these companies to
get a head start on developing comprehensive tools for testing and printing
XPS (XML Paper Specification) print output.
The Quick Start II program includes a beta version of QualityLogic's classic test tools for XPS, including an application test suite (ATS) of Windows Vista (WPF) applications captured while printing to an XPSDrv print driver, an ATS created by printing Win32 applications through the MXDW driver, a functional test suite (FTS) and comprehensive evaluation tests (CETs). The ATS tests XPS implementations to ensure they are compatible with leading applications; the FTS quickly and efficiently tests an XPS implementation's conformance to the XML Paper Specification, while the CET is a more in-depth test that fully characterizes an XPS implementation.
Program participants will also receive discounts on QualityLogic products, a weekly XPS update from QualityLogic, and a 50% discount on QualityLogic's training classes scheduled for January 2006 in the US and February in Japan. Companies that sign up for the Quick Start II program by December 31, 2005 will receive a 15% discount on any test tools they purchase.
