Microsoft to Launch Windows 10 and Office 2016
Microsoft will release the next version of the Windows operating system franchise later this year – it’s expected in the third quarter. With Windows 8 still seeing a very small adoption rate compared to Windows 7, the next version of the Windows platform aims to overcome Windows 8′s problems while still providing a common operating system for many different form factors, including the traditional PCs, laptop, phone, and Microsoft Surface.
This new operating system brings integration of native PDF viewing and annotating capabilities with its new “Spartan” web browser, along with many improvements in the underlying operating system for adoption of the latest technologies, such as Internet of Things support and 3D graphics support, among others. The XPS/OpenXPS Document Writer remains as the only default printer driver presented in Windows 10.
New Office 2016 products will accompany the launching of Windows 10 this year. Like Windows 10, Office 2016 will be targeted not only for the desktop platforms but other form factors. as well, including phones, tablets, Surface and others.
QualityLogic will launch a Quick Start program to get test suites targeted for Office 2016 and Windows 10 in your hands as quickly as possible.
