QualityLogic Completes Certified Page-Yield Testing for Toshiba
Measures Yields for Toshiba and Katun Cartridges
MOORPARK, CA- (Marketwire – November 15, 2007) – QualityLogic (www.qualitylogic.com) announced that it has completed a certified page-yield test program for Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (TABS). An independent testing company, QualityLogic provides leading printer manufacturers with standardized test results that allow accurate comparisons of the yields of one printer cartridge against another.
Toshiba took this important step to ensure that claims of its yield for its genuine manufactured toner cartridge receive testing from a leading independent source utilizing world-recognized testing standards that can be published and compared by its customers and partners.
Using the internationally recognized ISO/IEC19752 yield tests, QualityLogic tested yields for both genuine Toshiba monochrome toner and Katun monochrome toner cartridges when used in conjunction with Toshiba e-STUDIO202L and e-STUDIO520 multifunction products (MFP). (Katun is an after-market cartridge brand.) The MFPs used in the tests were supplied by TABS, and the consumables were acquired independently by QualityLogic.
The results showed that, on average, Toshiba toner for e-STUDIO202L had a yield of up to 27,601 pages while Katun cartridges had a yield of up to 19,294 pages. By calculation, Toshiba toner printed 43% more pages than the Katun brand.
For the e-STUDIO520 the results showed that, on average, Toshiba toner had a yield of up to 76,178 pages while Katun cartridges had a yield of up to 59,355 pages. By calculation, Toshiba toner printed 28% more pages than the Katun brand.
“The ISO standards ensure that yield tests are objective, meaningful and accurate,” said Dave Jollota, QualityLogic COO. “QualityLogic’s proprietary Certified Page Yield Testing Service strictly complies with applicable ISO standards.”
