About QualityLogic | |||
QualityLogic’s target markets are companies that develop and market printers, multifunction peripherals, facsimile devices, telecom and VoIP solutions, and mobility software. QualityLogic’s testing services and related tools focus on the conformance, performance, and interoperability testing needs of its customers, from unit testing to integration testing to system level testing. QualityLogic is distinguished by its record of innovative solutions to industry quality challenges. When Microsoft announced the XML Paper Specification (XPS) in 2005, the industry turned to QualityLogic for test solutions for this important technology. QualityLogic has developed suites of tests and utilities for XPS consumers and producers and is the first company to offer independent training classes for XPS technology. When PODi, an industry initiative with hundreds of member companies, developed a variable data markup language called Personalized Print Markup Language (PPML), QualityLogic developed a test suite to provide testing coverage with in-depth penetration of PPML commands. Sponsored by HP, QualityLogic created the first comprehensive independent methodology for evaluating the reliability of printer ink and toner consumables. The results have been published by HP and have had a profound influence on the consumables purchase patterns in the industry. QualityLogic pioneered technology to evaluate page origin, composition and printing challenges and used the data to innovate a solution for the .pdf printer testing challenge facing the Imaging industry. When the printing industry began executing the emerging ISO yield standard, Dell Computer turned to QualityLogic to not only execute the approved standards, but to develop new methodologies for those technologies not yet finalized. QualityLogic developed the complete process and tools for operating Microsoft’s Designed for Windows Mobile logo certification and Small Business Accounting application certification programs. The Company also created state-of-the-art web portal-based systems for managing the initiation, operation and reporting of interoperability test projects. QualityLogic’s PageSense product continues to be the de facto performance measurement standard for printer speed and is used by the leading printer vendors, as well as PC Magazine, to conduct performance comparisons of printers. Origins QualityLogic was established in 1999 through the merger of Genoa Technology Inc. and Revision Labs Inc. Genoa Technology Inc. was founded in December of 1986 by Gary James and Jim Zuber. The Company’s initial products were specialized testing tools for the testing of printers. Genoa expanded its product line in 1991 to include facsimile test products. In 1993, Genoa added test products for low-level communication protocols. The Company established a separate testing service group in 1995, and by 1997 testing services represented approximately one quarter of Genoa’s revenues. Revision Labs Inc. was founded in 1994 by James Mater and Steve Laats. Revision Labs was headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon and was a leader in software quality assurance testing services. In 1998, Genoa Technologies and Revision Labs established a joint venture lab called GenRev in Boise, Idaho, and in 1999, Genoa, Revision Labs and GenRev merged to form QualityLogic. QualityLogic is headquartered in Moorpark, California, northwest of Los Angeles. The Company’s US state-of-the-art test labs are located in Moorpark and Boise, Idaho. QualityLogic counts among its clients computer industry giants such as Microsoft, Intel, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Xerox, Lexmark, Cisco, Dell, Lucent, Nortel, Motorola, and many more.
